rpm increases

I was wondering if anyone else with a heritage has noticed this.I had my 07 up on the lift and running. When i turned the handlebars to the right the engine rpm's would increase and then decrease when i turned it back to the left.I wasn't even touching the throttle control.I don't know if this is normal.I never noticed it before.

Sounds like the throttle cables are a little tight, loosen them a bit and this should not happen.

I just went out and checked it again. It seems like it only does it if the throttle lock wheel is engaged.I had locked it when i was checking out the new charging system monitor and wanted to up the rpm's a little.Loosen the wheel and it works fine.Still not sure why it would do that.

If you lock the throttle at an above idle rpm, your taking out all the play in the cable so it could easily change the idle a bit when you swing the bars.
