Rough when coasting

Hey everyone, I need some help with my 2001 1200 sportster. When I'm coming into town and letting the bike coast or 1st gear and let off the throttle the bike rides rough, like something grabing. I've adjusted my primary chain to the 1/2 inch spec and clutch tension spring to a quarter turn, I also changed the primary chain oil late last year. Any ideas?

You have to be a bit more specific as to the type of problem other than " the bike rides rough". If you pull in the clutch does it still ride rough or is it engine related?

When I pull in the clutch the bike is smooth, I have been having issues with setting up my carb. I have an s&s shorty with a k&n bullet style filter on it, any suggestions on setting up the carb.

I guess i should be a bit more specific with the carb problem i'm having, when i'm in 5th gear the motor breaks up and makes a popping noise from the breather.
