hello from Colorado bought a wide glide ( 2nd one) from a friend I put last 6000 miles on it ni issues . It sat for 4 years and I bought it . Turned switch on odometer goes wacko streaming #'s speedo twitches and if I ride it speedo goes wild know that I am doing about thirty speedo can be from 60 to 90 ! Any suggestions ?

Welcome from So. Texas. Could be a dirty/bad VSS(vehicle speed sensor) located on the top of the tranny. That being dependent on yr/model.

Is there a way to check it ? Like put a meter and check resistence ?

I have a manual for a 2000 wide glide ,( my other bike) is the wiring that much different ?
