I don't care for the cheap looking way that the heat shields are held onto the stock mufflers on my 2008 rocker. My question is, Can a person remove the heat shields off of the stock mufflers on a 2008 rocker, without it looking tacky, or creating any other problems?

Don't think you would like the look of the stock pipes without the shields.

Add to the fact that heat shields are there to protect rider or passenger from burning hot muffler/pipe (especially with todays modern lean mixtures and some cases catalytic converters (reburned gas mixture already hot to the extreme). :devil
