roadglide starting issues

Same problems on my 07. I put it off too long and I ended up replaceing stator and ring gear. Ring gear was eat up in 3 different places. Not too hard of a job aftre discussing it on this site with lots of encouragement and tips. I also replaced the inner primary with chrome while I had it down. Made a 4900 mile trip to Glacier National Park from East Texas afterwards and no problems other than Y pipe mount and pipe broke in near Vernal Utah. HD in Vernal were real friendly and jumped right on it. No pipe bracket so shop foreman welded the old one back together. I was out of there ina couple of hours.

Upgrade the compensator !! The compensator upgrade will eliminate your starter issues IMO

Thanks for all of the great advice, very quickly too I might add.
I think I will look into the comp. upgrade as the posts mention this will help to smooth it out as well. Never really happy with low rpm acceleration / deceleration, rough compared to my '00 roadglide
