Ride up Mt. Lemmon

Just completed a two day ride through southern Arizona, culminating with a ride up the 25 miles of the Catalina Highway to the summit of Mt. Lemmon.

Mt. Lemmon is a tad over 9,000 ft high and the temperature read 29* at the top. No black ice, like another rider posted, but there was some snowmelt on the road. Not much motorcycle traffic traffic but a lot of bicycles. The restaurant at the summit, the Iron Door, was busy, the food was excellent, and the fireplace very welcome.

Here are some photos from the ride.

That fireplace at the Iron Door ia a great place to sit and relax around! Great ride. Thanks for posting!

Thanks Tank, maybe this summer you can show me the ride!

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them! I'm hoping to rent a bike when we go to Tucson to see family next Thanksgiving. I did that a couple years ago and had a great time.
