Removing seat strap bolt

Hi all I would like to remove the seat strap bolt completely
from the bike. The problem is the plastic nut on the fender spins
it is round and just has two little slots in it. Does anyone make
a socket that fits it. I am afraid to try to hold it with a pair of pliers
because of sliping and dinging the paint.
Thanks for any advise.

Try pulling up on the seat while turning the bolt, if you can put the nut in a bind the bolt may come out. If you can reach up under the fender you could put the squeeze on the nut also:s There are spanner sockets available, most are specialty and IMO over priced for 1 use, you could take an old socket and grind it to fit also

Thanks Jack when you said about a spanner it gave me a idea.
I took so measurements and wired edm the form out of a piece
of alumiun and used it as a wrench to hold the nut.
I did this before my shift started.
Also you seem be be the first to always offer me help.
Thanks for that.
Thanks again

:s Good Deal on making your own tool and getting the job done:s
