Removing rear Wheel on EGS

Just went through what you are experiencing today. See my thread "2-Days of Maintenance".

I didn't have an HD belt gauge either. My results with an older automotive-type (pencil) gauge, ended being a lot tighter than before I dropped the rear wheel. My manual stated 3/8 to 7/16 at ten pounds, on the jiffy stand or rear wheel in the air.

My bearings are sealed, just rotate them to check for any binding. I am going to guess yours are sealed too, if so, no need to repack.

Minimum brake pad thickness for '07 touring bikes is 1.2mm, I am now using Lyndall Z-Plus pads front and rear (no dust, supposed to wear like originals) I thought brake fluid change was annual. I would check the manual, unless your changing for another reason. Use the type specified in your owners manual.:newsmile070:
