removal of fork stem cover

I have 2005 fat boy that i want to put a fork stem clock on it . how do you remove the fork stem cover with out messing it up ? has any one used one of these clocks by marlin is this a good brand? thanks

Marlin or Formotion are decent brands. Make sure it's the one for your FB. Grab the chrome cover and turn it off like you are unscrewing a bolt to the left.

If you get a chance, take before and after pictures...I'm sure there are others who would like to add a clock for their..."timeless rides".

I take mine off with a rubber pad that is used for opening jars and works well.
Do the clocks line up straight when you install them?
