happy new year everybody. got a quick question. will a 180 rear tire fit my 2006 electra glide. thanks!

There is a section in self help on tire fitment, but I don't think you can go that large without replacing something. The pulley, belt, belt guard and or the swingarm.

As a rule of thumb, you can usually go 10mm without having any issues. Many in our riding group have gone from the stock 140mm to a 150 without any problems - Any larger and you start having clearance problems.

I went with a 150 on my 2000 Road King without a problem. Harley advised that was the max I could go without mod's....

I've read that some people were able to put a 150 in the rear of a 2001 fltr with out any problems - I also understand that the clearance, depending on the tire brand as well as the rim size will make a difference - I have a 4.25x18" rim and I'm using a Metzler 880 marathon tire - does anyone have this or a simular application and was able to use a 150 without any modifacations? thanks - FXRS
