I got new pads to replace the pads on my 05 EGS. Problem is, what size are those rear pad pins, and what kind of head is on that pin? Is there like a special tool to remove those pins?

Like Fourdogs says, you do not need a special tool to loosen and remove the pins. But follow the procedure in the factory service manual so that you keep the springs in place.
