Rear License Plate Mount Removal

I bought a side mount license plate and am curious of what you do with the factory license plate mount located on the tailight pocket. Can someone please enlighten me on possibilities? Also, where should I mount the inspection plate?:unsure

Kuryakyn makes a nice looking chrome "filler" for the holes left in your fender for the license plate holder. You can buy a chrome inspection plate tab(the sticker applies to the plate) at any HD dealer and mount the tab just about anywhere on the frame. I mounted mine just in front of the swing arm right behind the primary using a factory frame bolt.
