I realize that this really depends on your area etc.but does anyone have a clue as to a reasonable life span. I have 6K on my '10 and it looks like 12K is the max. Don't want to damage the rotors.

I consider myself a mostly front brake user. I changed my '07 Electra Glide rear pads at just over 15K miles. They were almost to the metal plates. My fronts (duals) were in good condition, but I replaced all 3 with Lyndall's. OOPs,, just realized you have a trike, my info probably isn't accurate to you.
