Race Tuner

So, I got a Screamin Eagle Race tuner thrown in when i biught my bike.
My question is; should this download be done on a regular basis, or, be done when there are mods to the bike?

Once programmer keep the dongle safe as if the ECM fails or you upgrade parts you will need it to reprogram the ECM - it is also locked to that specfic bike and cannot be used anywhere else , once done tho leave alone should not need flashing everymonth or for years
