My new slip-ons say to use a bead of high-temp silicone around the inside of the muffler inlet. Is there a specific type that you gents recommend that I can find at an auto parts store? I assume that it doesn't have to be motorcycle-specific??

Also, the mufflers are marked left and right. I assume that's meant as if you are sitting ON the bike??

Sorry for the dumb questions, but if you've read any of my posts, you know that I am not the brightest when it comes to this wrenchin' stuff LOL!! :lero

    THANKS THANKS!!!

Left and right as you are sitting on the bike is correct, and you can use any high heat rtv sealant you want on the pipes.

    Thanks Steve!!

Rineharts= they just came today! Any tips I should know about?

Also, do the slip-ons go on OVER the OEM header pipe, or slip IN TO the header? I did this once before and can't remember, and can't tell until I take the originals off...

    THANKS!!
