According to the VIN # link in Gliders post, there is no VIN # on the frame for your model year. Your VIN is the number stamped on the motor..

What's the VIN # on the title?

If memory serves, it's stamped on the front of the lower case. I don't think HD started stamping between the jugs until the the 80's No actual VINs on the frame. Although some one may have stamped it. Some states have problems if the VINs are not on thre frame....
 
thanks, but what is confusing me is i have std shovelhead bottom end from gary bang, i have mso for cases but bike is registerd with state as a 58 fl and that is what is on neck 470058b? by the way beautiful dog,i raise siberisn huskys have 2 snow white at present,1 is half timberwolf
