Progressive front springs on a Nightster?

I did not have to get a special tool for the Nut on top, although I did cover the nut with a soft cloth before putting it to the wrench. What you do need to watch out for is the thin steel spacer that comes out with great force when you completely remove the top nut. If you are not careful, you will leave your skin and blood on the spacer.

Hope this helps.

That would actually (EDIT) the dynamics of the bike. Yes, it would drop it, but it would ride and track like (EDIT). It changes the angle of rake in your front and also does nothing to compensate for the shorter travel and greatly increases chances of bottoming out. I was thinking of doing this myself but chose to rebuild with the progressive kit.

I haven't figured out how to qoute and all yet. This is a reply to the post on previous page about dropping forks in triples.
