primary oil question

The manual on my 09 dyna says after draining oil, just add, I believe 32 oz., to the housing and close up. I "thought" I read somewhere to drain oil, level the bike up,(not leaning on jiffy stand) and fill up to the bottom of the back pulley. Is that correct?

That's the goof proof method I have used for years to the bottom edge of the clutch basket straight up and level.
