I lean towards the flat bar stock with the ends tapered and a Tee handle with extentions on both sides. If the locktite does its job it can be a bear breaking the comp nut loose and worse the crank is just pressed together. I strongly believe that any force used to remove the comp nut should be balanced so there is limited chance of tweaking the crankshaft. I have felt the vibration of a mildly tweaked crank and it is frustrating.
