hi everyone I just bought a 1979 80 ci stripped down flh. The primary has been changed over to a sealed one. I drained the primary to put a new gasket on. how much fluid should I put in? thanks..

Primary fluid should be at least touching the teeth on ring gear, and not higher than inside lip of clutch basket.

Normally your bike has a dry sump primary with dry plates. The oil pump supplies and removes oil, to keep the clutch dry, but as Pete posted you can follow this also, check to see if the primary oiler on the oil pump has been altered or shut off
