i replaced the hinges and love the look of the new hinges. i also took 50# braided fishing lie and doubled it up and attached one end to where the lit teather is and then twisted it around the teather all the way to the other end and tied it off, just some security for the lid in case the teather ever breaks!

I wonder if these premium latches fit my 2003 ultra tourpack? I know according to the Harley site they don't, but did anybody try?

Installed the Premium hinges. I think that it does add a little more stability. And really adds to the appearance. Havent done the latch. But probably next on the list.

I'll second that idea. I installed the new hinges on my Ultra, and they really look great.
