Pledge UV Protection?

Glider has all of us using Pledge for just about everything. I hope this thread doesn't turn into Pledge for suncreen too. Get some SPF 45 and ride. Just kidding.
 
Since it's made and marketed for INDOOR furniture use, I doubt it has any UV protection. If it does, it's by accident.
 
Since one of its active ingredients is silicone and among other things silicone has a UV rating and is used in the automotive industry to keep the sun from drying out things such as door seals I would have to say yes.
 
Pledge as sunscreen, hmmm lemon fresh or coconut...things work zippy when clean and slippy...:small3d007:
 
I don't think it will have enough UV protection to do any good. As posted before it's made for inside. It's good for a quick clean. I would still use a good hand wax for the UV.
