please some one help

im converting my 81 ironhead sporty from electronic ignition to points need to find diagram for this or any help i can get

I converted my '82 Roadster to points many years ago. Don't remember what all was involved, but it seemed to run much better with the electronic ignition. My module went out and it was much cheaper to convert it to points, so thats why I did it. I always felt like it was a big mistake. I had more problems with that old Ironhead than any bike I've ever owned. Sorry I can't help you with your conversion, but good luck.

There MIGHT be something here to read. I see where a member wanted to go the Other way,, from points to electric.That Might help you.

All you need to do is get a point conversion kit with the advance unit, then run a wire from the bottom post on the coil to the points them be sure you have a 12 volt wire at the top post from the key switch. But why in the world would want to run points. electronic ign is a much better unit, point will drive you crazy.
