Yesterday I stopped by the dealer to get some new plugs. My 03 FXST takes the 6R12 plugs. The dealer talked me into a set of Platinum plugs. I don't know if there are any advantages to running these in a bike. I know they last forever in a cage.

Any benefits to running PP in my injected FXST?

what was the reason they gave to switch to the PP?
From what I have read and have been told - the standard HD plug is just fine.
 
Shoot,

I told the counter guy I wanted the 6R12, and he recommended I go with the PP's. Oh well, live and learn, keep the dealer in business.
 
I need read more threads on this site. If I would have studied up before going to the dealer I would have saved some $$$. Plus, I could have had a good arguement for the counter guy.

Oh yes,

His justification was the parts catalog listed them for 99 and up FXST.
 
I have a sign in the office that says "I will Google before asking stupid questions." I have to modify that to say, "I will read HDTimeline before going to the dealer."
