pinging and missing

Anyone know if I have a problem with my VOES when my motor pings when starting out from a stop light then starts missing like crazy like the battery is dead? My 49pan missed when the battery was going.

I'm know there is a way to check the Voes switch but my manual isn't hany at the time, they are cheap enough to replace though. One way to check it is to attach a vacuum hose to it and apply suction to it and see if it changes the tune of the motor. :s

There are 2 wires on the VOES.1 goes to frame ground and the other to you ECM.Put a VOM across the 2 legs,it should show Open,no continuity.Apply a vacuum and it should go Short.If you have a vacuum pump with a gauge on it the switch should activate at 5-7 in. of vacuum per manual(95-96 Touring).
