Pigtail Battery tender

I just bought a 2011 Roadglide and it already has the pigtail set-up on it. It appears to have a 3 inputs with metal contacts but my charging cord for my battery tender only has 2 connections. Will this other connection make a difference if not conected?

It probably wouldn make a difference but I would verify if the third wire is hooked to something before proceeding. Will the three wire hook up physically to the two wire? You may be better off replacing the three wire connector on the bike with the two wire connector that came with the charger.

Agree with Glider that it will probably work. I bought a used CVO and it had a 3 wire connector. The 2 wire connector from my tender fits to the ground (exposed connector) and the first insulated connector. It works fine. But it might be a good idea to check the connection to the battery.

Time to get out a meter and see what is hooked up to what.

Thanks Just did not Mess things up already. Yes the two plug fits in perfectly just that third input had me worried.
