"Patriot Guard Riders" (Post in this thread)

re: "Patriot Guard Riders?" (Post in this section)

New Washington State PGR member here #163854, first mission this weekend. Hope I hold it together. I can't do enough for these men and women who have fought for our country, our safety. God Bless them all.

Proudly, PGR west Michigan here.
VietVet 67-68 CombatMedic (DongHa, DaNang, DakTo) also member of Old Guard Riders and Combat Vets Mtrc Assn-MI.
Nothing stirs the sole as riding escort for a fallen soldier through his home town, when the whole town turns out in his honor. Passing under our flag :42: hung in his honor between two FD hook/ladders, with our fallen 'brother' just behind us ... boy oh boy, a very moving experience.

The honor for me to be associated with PGR, CVMA, OGR and VFW is beyond description. :42:

And a very SPECIAL THANKS to those who may not have served, but Ride With Pride beside us. We are ONE PEOPLE, One Loud & Proud sound and I appreciate your support.

God's speed to those now serving, our MIA/WIA/POW and those who have honorably served. :42:

New member (3-4 months) in Washington State. First ride this last Monday
to a ground breaking ceremony for Eastern Washington Veterans Memorial
Cemetery. I was proud to stand in flag line with U.S. Army flag.

I believe the turn out was much better than expected. There were a lot
of patches from many different m/c's and org's. riding together in support.

I can't say it too many times. Thank you to all who have and are serving and
thank you to their families.

ride safe

North Central PGR here (wife included). Being a Retired USAF Technical Sarg, I felt I should be one. Attended a few services, shed a few hidden tears.

re: "Patriot Guard Riders?" (Post in this section)

Today, the Patriot Guard riders lost one of the first Michigan ride captains. After a long battle with a lingering illness, Steve Williams passed June 5, 2009. He was what the PGR is all about and it was an honor to ride with him on my 1st mission back 2005. You will be truely missed my Brother. You will always ride in my heart and soul on every mission I attend. Rest in Peace.
