I have a Harley heritage softail and the back rest for the passenger is loose and I can not figure out how to tighten it up.... we looked at it and the top bolt is unscrewed but we can not figure out how to take the piece of leather/cover off to get to the bolt... any ideas???

The leather cover is glued onto the bar. I pulled mine off once to tighten the screw behind the leather and the glue still held it on. Had to pull it off again for some reason and the glue wouldn't hold it on then. I cleaned the excess glue off, drilled holes in the sissy bar and screwed it on. Now I can take the backrest off and on any time I want. Just my way. :s
