Parts Question

I've got a missing bolt from a cover on the front of my Heritage and
don't know the name of the cover to ask the dealer if he has the part.

The cover is on the front of the engine directly in front of the oil filter
and has "FINS" on it. It sets right between the down tubes.

I know how basic this is but i've tried to find it in the service manual
and can't.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Unk

Sounds like the voltage regulator you are describing. Maybe take out the other bolt and go to the dealer with it in hand? :s

Thank You Again !
Hate to bother with such questions.
Will definitely take the other bolt in .
Thanks again.

That is definitely the voltage regulator. You might even be able match the bolt at a local hardware store or Home Depot.

A better place for lost replacement nuts, bolts etc. is your local NAPA Auto Parts. You should replace with grade 3 or 5 dependent on what its holding. Home Depot Etc. usually don't carry GRADE type bolts for automotive applications. NAPA has all sizes and at least 2 if not more grades for you picking.

A very good percentage of the bolts on the Harelys are grade 8 bolts. Don't substitute lower grade bolts for these.
