panhead cam

Hi can anybody help i need a mechanical cam for a stock 52 panhead 1200cc,
Anderws do a J cam but i'am but don't know if its a mechanical!

Looking at a V-Twin catalog CD you need a cam for 1948-53 Pan. It should be the right years.What do you mean by mechanical,I don't know of any other type for HD's.You may want to change your Pinion gear at same time, they need to match. You can have the old gear pressed off the old cam and press it back on the new cam.That way you have the matching pinion gear, if it matched to begin with.

Perhaps you mean solid lifters? The cam should work fine as long as it's spec'ed for that year engine.
