oldest sportster here

At 1994, Mine's not the oldest by a long shot.

But, at 98,000 miles; I bet I have more miles than the oldest one.

I bought her new while stationed in Naples Italy. Saw Half of Europe on her, met my wife because of her and she's still out in my garage.

The bike is in the garage, not the wife.

Cheers

Wow, since the Sporty originated in 1957 or thereabouts, that is a rather tall order...maybe the classic bike collector C.Dolan has a pristine copy of a vintage one in his stable.

ive got a 70, got it for a project. still runs good and sounds good. just cant get used to the foot controls.

have a 64 xlch; bought it in 1969; road it up/down east coast (btwn PA and Florida and all states in btwn); as well as out to Arkansas and back to VA. Had it balanced and blueprinted in '70 with 38mm lake injector with 2" drag pipes. Currently in planning stages for major rebuild. Doesn't have tach or speedo so have no idea on mileage.

Was alerted to this topic, today.

Will have to take better pictures when I get it out.
