Ok...Here it is....Trans oil

I just bought a 2009 Road Glide which has HD oil in transmission. I have a couple of quarts of Spectro GL-1 for 5-speeds (used it in my 2006 RK).. Will it hurt to use the GL-1 in the 6-speed transmission of my 09 rosd glide???? That's until I order and get the GL-5 stuff!

It won't hurt it but it isn't the best protection for the 09 with the helical gears.

I have been running Red Line in my 2005 Heritage. I am very happy with the results: very little clunking, easy to find neutral, etc.

I heard anecdotally, that Red Line can gum up the compensator. I agree the oil is heavy, but isn't the compensator lubed by the primary oil?

Has anyone heard of Red Line causing problems?
