Oil temp

I installed an oil cooler and use synthetic oil in the '99 Ultra. This seems to be more than adequate for temps here in NJ. My oil temp gauge rarely creeps above 210 when riding even in the hottest of weather.

I think I'm going to try a temp gauge to see how hot it actually is running first. An oil cooler is next. Any idea what a "high" temp is?

I would say 250 on a very hot day in traffic. MOCO states 180-220 on some models is normal. Synthetic oil will greatly help also. Do some research or if you want to stir up the pot ask in another thread.

I am going to do a google search, thanks. I'm going to switch to synthetic asap. I have just over 100 miles on it. I will ask about the switch when I bring it in for the 500 mile service. Thanks to all for the advice.
