Oil tank relocation

I am considering moving my oil tank to a custom built tank and mounting it on the forward down tubes of the frame about midway below the lower triple tree. Does anybody know if the stock oil pump generates sufficient head pressure to return oil to that height? It sure would make oil changes a lot easier. Any thoughts on this modification?

Dont know why not, I remember an older 70s FLH the guy used one side of the fat bob gas tank as his oil tank. Dont know why but it did work, Jack

I think you are looking at a lot of work with no benefits. Changing oil on a 99 FLHR is pretty straight forward IMO.
