oil tank placement?

I build a custom hardtail with a Harley EVO style engine. I wat to move the oil tank to under the transmission. {custom made to fit} Can the oil tank be below the engine and oil pump? Wondering if pump is gravity fed?

Welcome to The Forum, Yes the oil pumps have a check valve in them so your answer would be Gravity feed from tank to pump
