Oil Suggestions For Harleys

I just looked that Redline stuff up, it looks pretty good. I don't know much about it, and don't know of a dealer around here, but might order some in the future for the next change. It is cheaper than the Spectro, but with shipping might not be.

Yes it is Less $$ and does a better job in MY BOOK...
Look on line and compare...... I think it to be under 12.50 a quart....

I buy Redline at a parts store and prices there are better there than on-line..
I use all Redline products for my bikes.... and you can buy on line but Many different prices... Maybe a parts store close to you?

20/50 redline for engine (blue bottle)
MTL for primary/clutch (says for wet clutch on bottle)(yellow label)
Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil 75W250 (pink-red label)

signed....BUBBIE

Sure glad I did some research on this.
It seemed a bit strange to run basically motor oil in all 3 holes (Syn3).

I bought my '01 ElectraGlide Classic used in March and it had been using Syn3 so my first oil change right after purchase I wandered in Skagit and bought all the 'right' Harley stuff (Syn3).

Time for my next oil change and I'm gonna run:
(all readily available at Carquest in Everett)

Engine: Mobil 1 V-twin 20-50
Trans: RedLine 58204 - Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil
(Exactly the same as 42804 - V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof®)
Primary: 50204 - MTL 70W80 GL-4 - quart
(Exactly the same as 42904 - V-Twin Primary Case Oil)

I'll report back my findings, I fully expect less clunky shifts.
