Short of pulling the primary apart, I have had good luck with a thin "O" ring of the right size and slipped it over the plug coming out of the primary (should fit snug or slightly stretched) and worked it into the opening around the plug with a popsicle stick or something that will not cut it. What it does is seal the seam between the plug and the case.
