Oil leak after oil change

Hi fellas,

My bike was leaking oil from the right of rear cylinder after servicing. Checked oil level slightly above max, so ignored. After a while, leak stopped. Checked oil level normal.

Question: Was the oil leak due to too much oil poured in during servicing, or something else?

Never over fill the engine, if anything a bit under the full line like between the add and full mark is desired and recheck the level when hot.

Overfilling will cause it to come out the air filter breather lines.

Yes - to much in her !

Wow that's fast! Thanks, a relief to know that. Say, any impact on engine if overfilled and not drained?

Yes, it could foam the oil and loose lubrication. It can also push out the vent tubes and make a mess. Best if not overfilled.
