Oil around carb and around air filter??

I have a 99 FXD with stock carb. It's been cutting out lately, pulled the air cleaner and noticed oil on the two hoses running into where the air filter is. Could this be my problem and what would cause it? Thanks

Maybe if its a lot of oil but you normally see a little oil in the tubes

No it's not a lot, just a little on the tubes, the filter looks fine. Guess I'm pulling the carb (

Normal, it's from the oil vapor that gets pulled through the tubes.

What Glider said,have you cleaned it yet(the carb) with anything? If not I always run 2 capfulls of "Sea foam" in every tank when I fill up.And don't have problems,it is a godsend for fuel.Good luck,Dave....
