My 2006 heritage odometer registers miles normally while riding, but once the bike is shut off, he next startup, the total miles are 2,882. It is stuck on that number. I can't seem to find anything about anyone having this problem. I realize it could be the speedometer it self or the EMC. The way my luck goes, I so afraid it will be the EMC. Is there anyone that can help me determine what is wrong?

So it always starts at 2882 but then accumulates miles normally when you ride?
Any recent modifications or maintenance done to the bike? Any other out of the ordinary symptoms with your bike at all?

Thank you for the info, I guess I'll be buying another speed odometer. Any suggestions on that. I have never replaced a speed odometer, never had a digital one, all have meen analog (mechanical). Replacing one (a digital one) is there a way to set the milage or do you have to start at "0"?
