Nightrod Battery Access

Good morning,
Am I correct in understanding that the only way to access the battery for trickle charging during storage... is to remove the entire air filter assembly.. cover the carb intakes and so on ? Anyone ever heard or saw charging extension made for easy charging access?

You can use a battery tender and run the lead out any place you want, makes it simple.

you just need to take the painted cover off and you can get a charger in, and as chopper said, a battery tender with tails that live on the bike and plug into the charger is the way to go

Good morning. Thanks for this.. I got the charger. Is there however a difference between connecting the charges to the battery directly or through the little plug already on the Bike ? Depending on who you ask @ Dealer you get a different answer.

If the bike already has a battery tender lead on it, that's the place to plug the tender into. That makes it easy and charges just as well because the lead hooks directly to the battery.

DITTO ! The newer Vrods have the plug already installed in them .
