I have a 2005 Night train and the fuel gauge says that the tank is always full. I assume that the float might be stuck, but, i can't figure out where its located or how to get to it.

You have to go through the access panel in the top of the tank. Always replace the gasket and the sealing washers when you open it up.

I have the access panel off, but I can't seem to get the unit out ot the tank to adjust the float. Is there a trick to it?

    Be very patient.

Have to twist the unit very carefully around the panel opening to get it out.

    Twist it counterclockwise?

Somewhat related question - my fuel light goes on when the gauge shows just over 1/4 tank left. Is that normal?
