New to Site, Question on replacing handlebar grips?

    Hello family, Can anyone give me advice, help on changing handlebar grips on a 2007 XL 1200 Custom? Thanks:newsmile040:

    Jack gave you a link for detailed instuctions, it's really not a difficult operation, I did this a well as other mods just last week.
    Understand the terminology, a service manual will help you here. Be sure to disconnect the battery, neg side, because you will be entering the switch housings and during reassembly there is a chance you may pinch wires and fry something, this happened to me. Go slow, don't get flustered, if you do, walk away and come back.
    Once finished, bask in the knowledge you have done it yourself and learned about your ride. Cheers!

    And, as I learned from another member, hairspray works well for sticking the new grip(s)...;)
