New Seat fit question

I am looking at a used seat from a 91 sporty, and am trying to figure out if it will fit my 97 sporty. It is a HD seat, and has some numbers on it, but I can't find anywhere to cross reference it. Any help?? Thanks.

I think the 91 seat will fit any sporty up to 03...

they appear to be.... MIL800, 0199937, and 019940

Solid mount evo sportsters should all take the same seat so that is any evo sportster up to 2003 however it can depend on the tank as some sportsters have a different tank and a shorter seat to compensate but the seat will fit the frame

If your sportster is a sportster custom then you should be ok
