After installing a set of Rinehart slip-ons and Stage 1 air cleaner with K&N filter, i needed to re-jet the carb.
after working on it over the weekend and not getting the carb right i talked to local chopper shop wrench, he showed me a stock carb and i saw my problem at once, the slide needle was pushed down into it's plastic holder by over 1/8" instead of setting freely on top of the holder!! stock needle was that way so i put new California EPA needle the same way- BIG NO NO!!
after learning this i went home and fixed my problem.
Tune-up is as fellows-
#46 slow jet
Cal. EPA needle
2 full turns out from seated idle mixture screw
Bike runs smooth as silk, sounds awesome and makes more power and runs cooler!!
