New plug wires

I want to replace my OEM spark plug wires with Blue ones. My 09 HD catalog only shows Orange, Yellow, Red and Black. Was wondering if wires from the auto parts store would cause me any grief. Found some Taylor wire for $18. Also found some Blue heat shrink tubing and thought that might be an option to use over my OEM wires.

I think the most important is resistance of wires. You have to check what resistance have OEM wires. I'm not sure but the resistance for some wires is about 350ohm, but there are also aftermarket spark pulg wires that have 150 or even 50ohms.

If it's a HD part, they should br OK. If it's another brand the resistance is important because it will set a code due to the ION sensing.

go after market, they have everything, I believe taylor does have blue, try crane, etc... midway cycle, j&p, etc.

Thanks for the input. I would just as soon not have to deal with codes that were set at my doing. Think I'll try the blue heat shrink tubing over the OEM wires.
