I have an 03 Heritage Classic with 40K. I generally change my own fluids. Last summer I took it in for service before a ride into Canada. They replaced oil, tran. and primary with synthetic oil. I recently changed my own again and used synthetic for the oil and HD tran. & primary fluid for..the primary and trans. I now have a loud whinning that does not quit if I disengage the clutch or put it in neutral. I am wondering if the different fluids woud cause this or do I have other problems. Primary chain adjustment seems fine.

The addition of a good brand trans oil will quiet the gears down. Usually noises of this type are from the primary chain adjustment and being to tight.
