New Motor for Touring Models in 2017

Classic MoCo move. You get the sleepy version for 20K and the 114" version with 40% more power for another $2500.;)
That 40% seems like a strong number. $2,500 though does not seem bad along with the additional bells and whistles on bike does not seem out of line for increased HP. So with that the CVO's are probably going to be at least a 120 or more. Interesting.

Here is Fuel Moto's dyno run on the new 2017 107.
Looks like 80.87HP with 98.58TQ.

I don't understand,the 114 in a streetglide is over 37 grand,that's 17 grand more than a reg.FLHX.The cvo breakout only has the 110 eng.and it 25 grand

What may happen is that those of us with a slighter older Harley, we will upgrade numerous components at a much lesser cost and have one incredible machine.... Especially if we own it and not the bank....:D
I agree that with the top shelf pricing they may price themselves out of more market share.

These prices are getting so out of wack I don't ever see myself buying new again.

I agree Jeff. Being around high line cars most of my life those that can afford are also financially responsible. We already know what a couple year old CVO is worth versus price when sold. So do the MOCO think that anybody responsibly is going to purchase a $30,000+ motorcycle that even in a year or two is outdated and worth maybe $18,000 - $20,000 trade in. It starting to not make any sense.

The standard FLHX starts at $20,999; add $1595 for the Stage III 114" kit (I was wrong about the $2500 in my previous) and, while still pricey, affordable for many; both the financially responsible and the not so financially responsible.;)

Power increase is significant. You can see the comparison between the MoCo's dyno numbers and real world numbers in the FM chart previously posted. Peak numbers are very close and the MoCo curve would look more like the FM curve if plotted on a real dyno chart; the FM curve looks pretty good. 115TQ/100HP is not to shabby for a MoCo 114" build with stock heads and restricted intake/exhaust and an EPA cam. Granted that same displacement would show 125/115 numbers in an aftermarket configuration but still not to shabby for a MoCo motor.

I am not a MoCo fan but to the guys that buy, ride and dealer service their motorcycles, this new motor will get their attention. Like most of you, I will stick with my all bore 107" motor in the old '02 FLHT (124TQ/110HP) and continue to make changes as time passes. Probably looking at a 124" build on these cases next year if I can justify tearing down a really good running motor.
