New member brake pin question

Good Morning All. First off new to the board so far what I am reading awesome info and GREAT looking bikes.

Question, Softail brakes pad pins, torque to 190 lbs? is this inch pounds or foot pounds. (Dont have service manual yet), seems high dont want to strip bolt.

inch pounds. 190 ft lbs maybe a touch high haha

Easy Kimosabee 190 ft-lbs would snap or strip something like a twig. As others said...and over on this side of the pond it is hard to find a Newton-Meter that was is liked over here...thank goodness for dual calibrated torque wrenches and digital gages.

Mind would turn to mush if we had to do a calculation every time...even this ol' engineer. US missed the boat and it sailed when the decision was to stick with her Majesty' inch...just the American way...some bunch of radicals here huh!:newsmile100:

Those pins can be super tight so be ready to get a new socket if you break one. I have 3/8" and 1/4" drive sockets for the pins.
