HI,I've been riding bikes for 37 years,67 Honda cl305,1968 Honda 450,1975 Norton 850 commando,1982 Suzuki gs1100ex,1987 Suzuki gsxr1100,2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 classic(still own)1979 Harley 1340 fxr/flh which I just purchased 1 month ago.Fxr has flh front end.fenders front and back,reverse shift pattern 1 up and 3 down(police style)drag pipes with 8 inch baffles (I am going to put on long fish tails to reduce exhaust sound, police in my area are cracking down on sound emissions).I also am in the process of changing splitting front and back brake lines to braided lines to reduce brake fading.thats all for now.

Welcome to the forum from Georgia. I think you got bad information on your 1979 bike. The first FXR was in 1982. Don't mean to tell you what you have, but accurate information is why most of us are here. :)
